Round 7 ~ A New Guest
From top to bottom, Engelhart is attacked by two rats, and keeps out one of those that tries to sneak past him. A 15 misses, and a natural 20, doubled, causes 6 damage. Engelhart had 30 hp, now 24, and is not stunned. Hurt, though.
Valda is attacked by one rat, which she stops from getting past her. The rat misses with a 4.
Lotharis attacked by two rats, which he keeps from breaking through. A 14 hits, as Lothar is AC 8 according to my notes, causing 1 damage. Lothar has 28 hit points and is not stunned. The other rat rolls a 10 and misses.
Embla lets a rat get past her; it attacks from her flank, while another attacks from the front. The one on her flank manages a modified 9, missing. The one in front rolls a 12, also missing.
Rob is attacked from the front; the rat does not try to get past. It rolls a 14, which hits AC 7. I am not certain of Rob's armor class, as I haven't had time to look at any character pages. Please let me know whether or not that hits.
MEANWHILE ...
A large, grey, jelly-like creature, definitely not an ooze, emerges from 0612 and flows into 0711. It has a large membrane at its center.
The players are free to take an action.
Following the players' move, here is the layout.
And the experience thus far:

I attack the rats in front of me.
Attack roll: 1. (drats...)
Breakage roll: 5.
My backpack is off and in 1413. I have 5 AP. I move to 1211 (3 AP), draw a dart (0 AP, due to trait) and attack the rat in 1111 from behind.
Attack roll: 17 (+3 for attacking from rear, +2 against S-sized fast creatures, so 20 or 22).
Damage roll (1d3): 3
My AC is 8 (10 - 1 from shield -1 from padded armour), I am hit.
I attack the rat that snuck behind me, in 1111. If I kill it, I turn to face the pair of rats in 911.
Lothar and Valda attack separate rats in 0910 once again.
Lothar: 11+1=12, hits AC 6; Damage: 7
Valda: 4; Damage roll 6
Engelhart, your maul is in Valda's hex.
As all can see, the mage is built for rat killing. The rat is stunned.
Rob, you take one damage, not enough to stun you. You're free to act.
I have two AP left (and she has other 2, I imagine), Lothar & Alexis, can I team with her to get my maul back?
Embla, you see that Mikael is attacking the one behind you, so you attack the one in 0911. You hit for 7 damage again, with a modified 14 roll. Incidentally, and Mikael did not count it, but the two newbies do not get the benefit of the bless spell.
Lothar hits, kills his rat. Valda misses.
Pandred will step down to 1110 and attack the rat Mikael stunned. Rolls a 16 and kills it.
Rob attacks the rat in hex 0912
rolled 15+0=15
damage 3
In case it is killed Rob takes its place.
Quick question: I can only make two attacks in melee, correct (if I have a dart in each hand)? Or can I draw a second dart and throw both in a round?
Easier, Valda can use her two AP to kick your maul back to you. Consider it picked up with your remaining move.
You can't throw two darts in a round, no. Do not forget that your penalty with a primary weapon is -1, with a secondary weapon -2.
Nice to see a mage get into combat, though.
Rob stuns his rat, knocking it into 0812. Time for me to make a new image.
Oh, Rob ... did you want to advance after that hit?
I'll give you a few minutes to decide. I want to take a quick shower.
[no one wants to say anything about the jelly?]
[the jelly's still a newcomer, I can't gauge it as a threat until something happens, though I would disencourage our new cub scouts from being the ones testing the waters..]
Rob advances to 912
Understood. Go ahead and say "I," Rob. I'll know who you mean.

The post above is updated.
Do remember to check your character's position and your damage caused and taken. I can only keep this accurate if you double check me.
